Carrying yokes of burdens?God wants to help!

Psalm 69:4 (NKJV)

Those who hate me without a cause

Are more than the hairs of my head;

They are mighty who would destroy me,

Being my enemies wrongfully;

Though I have stolen nothing,

I still must restore it.

Have you ever felt like the whole world was against you and that nobody cared about you?

I have, and probably all of us have been in that situation, at some point in our lives.

The psalmist in this scripture felt like everyone hated him and was out to destroy him. David the Psalmist was at a low point in his life when the enemy came and took all of his family and the families of his faithful soldiers, along with all their possessions. David’s soldiers were ready to stone him because of what had happened to them.

But the Bible tells us that David, instead of beating himself up and desiring to die, encouraged himself in the Lord and then arose and encouraged his soldiers. They pursued and caught the enemy and restored their families and possessions back to where they were supposed to be.

Many people give up in life when things begin to go wrong. Instead of quitting, people need to turn to the Lord and begin to encourage themselves in God.

God is able to do abundantly and exceedingly above what we can begin to think or imagine. With God, all things are possible and there is nothing too hard for our God. The problem lies with mankind’s difficulty trusting in God.

The Bible tells us that if we believe, all things are possible — not through our strength or abilities but through the strength and power of God.

If God can speak and cause the sun to stand still, if he can cause the Red Sea to split and stand as walls and the ground to dry overnight so Israel could cross on dry ground to flee the Egyptian army, if God can feed 5,000 men not counting the women and children with two fish and five barley cakes and if our God can forgive the multitude of sins that we commit, then don’t you think he can take care of all our other problems?

My encouragement to you today is to put your trust in God and doubt not. Then stand back and watch what God can do. If God loved you enough to send his son Jesus to die for your sins upon the cross; then don’t you think he loves you enough to take care of the issues that arise in our lives?

Love God, trust God and then wait for God to do it.
