The Joy of the Lord is His Strength – Is it Yours?

I suffer with a two terrible mental illnesses, and so I have to fight to get the joy of the Lord. I fight by worshiping the Father and entering into his presence and his rest. In the presence of the Lord is found peace and joy and rest. I know that it helps me and it can help you too. You need not only experience the presence and anointing of a Holy God, one a week at church. The Fathers presence can come and sup with you in your home during the week.

There are quite a few ways that I enter into the presence of the Lord. One way that I love is just to start to chat to the Father and have Him speak back to me in a casual conversation. As soon as I start to speak, the Lords peace and joy come upon me. The joy of the Lord gives me a wonderful high and it seems all my worries are washed away in the power of the peace and the joy that fill me.

Another way for me to enter into the presence is to listen to praise and worship music and sing to the Lord. I don’t even need to sing many times in worship, just having the music in my house fills the house with peace and the presence of the Lord. Having a house full of peace and overflowing makes a wonderful house to have people around to, as they feel the peace.

Another way that the Lord fills me with his peace and joy is when I read anointed books. The Bible is very good for getting me in the presence and the Holy Spirit becomes very active as a I read scripture, opening up to me revelation after revelation. The Holy Spirit is wonderful and He has so much for us, if we would just seek the face of the Lord.

The presence and the anointing of the Lord are so wonderful. Sitting and typing for 15 hours straight is easy and fun, when the anointing of God is on your life. Expounding the Word and bringing edifying words to the body O f Christ is pure joy.

I encourage you all to try and get into the presence of God as often as you can in the ways I have outlined here, God wants to talk to you and He wants you to be still and to know Him. He doesn’t want your life to only have two visits to his feet a week, He wants to be your friend and companion and come to your house and sup with you. Will you let him enter?

Be Blessed
