Trust God,Let Him take care of You!

Have you ever heard the phrase, “Someone is going to knock them off their high horse?”

What does it mean when we say someone is on their high horse? We are referring to someone that puts themselves above others; maybe it is because they came into money, fame or special recognition of something that they did.

In religious terms, we call the high horse people “holier than thou” people. The world’s terminology could be too big for their pants or more important than others.

I have seen people who were dirt poor and one day received an inheritance that gave them some substance. It completely changed them to where they thought of themselves as better than those they had spent their lives with.

May we keep ourselves the same whether we have substance or not, gain fame or not or receive special accolades for some accomplishment we may have done. May people look at us and see us being the same day in and day out. God is the same today, yesterday and tomorrow; he changes not, so let us pattern our life on that same precept.

Mankind is only one mistake from being knocked off of its high horse. We see the lives of athletes who were on top of the world, and in a few days they are left with nothing, politicians who looked invincible, but one mistake knocks them off, and we can go on about events that all of us have seen where one mistake knocked them from their high horse and they became a laughing stock to the world.

Let me tell you that no one or nothing is going to knock God the father, God the son (Jesus) and God the holy ghost off of their horses. They have stood the test of time. They had everything thrown against them: rebellion within heaven when Lucifer and a third of the angels tried to overthrow them, lies spread about how They don’t exist, rebellion by the creation of mankind against their authority and so forth. But none has knock them from off the throne of heaven and none will.

This gives us hope that when God makes promises to mankind that he will be around to carry them out.

God is more than able to do what he declares. He is not like mankind that he can lie, but he is a God of truth that stands by his word to bring it to pass.

When we put our trust in God, then we have hope and our hope will bring rewards unto us. God just doesn’t brag about himself to impress others. He is who he says he is. Our God does sit on a high horse and he will not be knocked off. He will do what he declares. So trust him and let God take care of you.
