FOCUS SCRIPTURE: “And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.” (John 2: 10)

In the Focal Scripture in this article, the ruler of the marriage feast in Cana of Galilee queried the bridegroom about why he chose to keep the best wine till men were drunk with the old. The first wine finished, and it became a chance for a better wine to be made manifest. The first wine finished, and new wine that was on a different level was divinely supplied. The first wine finished, so that the bridegroom could leave his current level.

And God says, it finished so that you will not return to your old level. Your ‘old wine’ finished because there is a new level that will soon unfold; your old level may have crumbled, because there is a new level on the way for you; your old opportunities may have expired, because there are new opportunities which will unfold shortly; the old may have expired, because God has a new in store for you. Get ready because God wants to show you how you can get your next level to show up! Because God has been working to replenish you, He’s replenishing you so that you will be ready for what He wants to do next! Inquire of God, by saying, “God, how do I get my new levels”? Do this and wait!

Expect God to show up and guide you to something,

ask you something,

or nudge you to do something! 

When you do what God shows you to do, your next levels will begin to show up!

That moment when the old wine finished may have been embarrassing, but it gave way to a greater level that put smiles on everyone who drank the new wine that Jesus made. So what looked like bad news became the harbinger of good news. Hear me as I hear the Lord: your bad news is about to be replaced with good news that will wipe your tears; your embarrassment will give way to mega celebration.

Get set for the new level that will follow after your ‘old wine’ has finished. Get ready for your new level, and be sure you are not returning to that old level.

Isaiah 60: 1 says: “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.”

DECLARATION: When my old wine expires, my old level expires; I arise on a higher level, in Jesus’ name!
