It’s going to get better!

Dear friend,

You may be feeling burdened, tired, fed up, sick or —drained by the struggles that life has thrown your way but don’t worry, it’s going to get better. We know it is difficult to stay positive and hopeful when you become weary as you strive to do good, only to find that help seems distant, and answers to your prayers remain elusive. It might be hard to go through, but with God’s help you can make it through.

You may be at the point where your hope feels like a flickering candle, barely holding on, but if you keep holding on, it’s going to get better.

In moments like these, it’s crucial to remember that you are not alone. God sees your struggles, and He is with you even in your silence and He will help you!

We have found that when God doesn’t do something to help as soon as most people might think He should, often, folks can find themselves questioning God’s timing, His motives and His desires to help. Many people wonder why God seems slow to respond. But remember, dear friend:

  • Ecclesiastes 3:11 reminds us that “God has made everything beautiful in its time.” ( And if what you going through isn’t beautiful, God’s time to make it beautiful hasn’t arrived yet)

God’s Timing may not align with our expectations, but God’s perspective is much broader. He is not held back by the constraints of time, as we are. What may feel like a delay is often God’s invitation to trust and deepen your relationship with Him.

In addition to God’s timing,  God’s methods can be surprising. You might be praying earnestly for relief, while God is doing a profound work within you, shaping your endurance and strength.

  • One of the most enduring truths is found in Isaiah 55:8-9, where God declares, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways.”

The process may feel overwhelming—an unending tunnel of darkness—but remember that the light at the end will invariably shine brighter when it arrives.

Like it or not, suffering is in God’s toolbox and it is ordered and allowed for all of us at some point and time. Only God knows for sure why He allows this, but suffering is not something that can always be escaped, so it is essential that you learn how to endure it while waiting for God to help!

We have found that the ways of God often lead us through seasons of trial to teach us compassion, resilience, and faith. Every unanswered prayer, every moment of confusion, is not absence but preparation. As Smith Wigglesworth once said, “Faith is the living power that brings the things of God into being.”

As you cling to God during these challenging times, here are a few examples of how continuing to look to Him can be fruitful:

Keep praying and Looking to God For Possible Benefits
Strength You will find renewed vigor and power.
Guidance Clarity will emerge in your decisions.
Comfort Peace will envelop your weary soul.
Hope A fresh vision for your future will unfold.

Let the words of Psalm 34:18 wash over you: “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

In your searching, embrace these truths:

  • James 1:12 tells us, “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”

These scriptures stand as beacons, instilling hope that your heart desperately seeks.

So, friend, hold on a while longer, pray more so God can do more, read your Bible and listen to worship music, and trust God to show up to help in some way!

Sooner or later, it will get better for you!

Want it to get better sooner? Let’s pray;

Heavenly Father,
You see the weariness that weighs upon my heart. I come before You, seeking Your peace. Breathe new life into my spirit—renew my hope and strength. Help me to trust in Your methods, your timing, and Your ways. I lean on Your love and compassion, knowing that You are good, and You will work everything for my good in Your own way. Help me to stand firm, to reflect Your light in the shadows of this season. Amen.

May this prayer serve as a balm to your soul, awakening the flicker of hope within you once more. Remember, though the journey may be challenging, but God’s goodness is unwavering.

Keep seeking God, keep hoping. He loves you deeply and is ever faithful. He will make a way for you somehow!
