Don’t worry,Tomorrow will Be a New Day!

Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.- Proverbs 27:1

Have you noticed that almost everyone you meet spend much of their lives worrying about yesterday and tomorrow? Yet one’s buried and the other’s unborn. There is not a thing that can be done about either – except let them steal today right out of your hands. Don’t do it. Don’t let your yesterdays and your tomorrows keep robbing you of your today! David said in Psalm 118:24 “This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.” So get out of the grand stand of life: you can win only as you engage with life on a daily basis and play the game. Don’t die in the waiting room, wishing, hoping and thinking your life away. Seize each day with all of its blessings and all of its challenges and live every moment of it. There’s only one way to overcome your past and that is to learn from it.

Sitting around thinking about all that has happened to you and what others have done to you will get you nowhere fast. It will further depress you and make you feel that life just isn’t fair and God isn’t just. Let the very thing that others thought would destroy you, develop you, and grow you in to the person that God has called you to be. Let what happened to you in your past be used as a stepping stone by God to reposition you for His highest and best blessings for your life. Dream new dreams for the future instead of dreading what might come and what might happen!

Don’t wait for “Someday to come”-for God is a very present help in times of need, do what God has put on your heart to do today and do it fully living in your present gift of today’s moments. Ask God to help you live each day fully and ask Him to help you live each day in the moment of what you are currently doing right then. Don’t fall victim to using the excuse, “I don’t have enough time”, because you have exactly the same number of hours in your day as everybody else, including the people you most admire. So as a manger of the time that God has given you, He is expecting you to use and invest your time of today wisely. Don’t worry about not being able to count on God; for you can count on God, God wants to be able to count on you!
There are two things you can count on God to do:

  1. You can count on God to give you a clear understanding of His will and assignment for your life.
  2. You can count on God to give you the time and the ability to be able to carry it out.

So what more could you ask for when enjoying and thanking God for your gift of today? So live each moment of your today and look forward to your tomorrow with expectancy and with hope for yesterday is over and tomorrow is still yet to come!
