Happy Veteran’s day!

Depending upon where you are in the world you may or may not be celebrating Veteran’s day today, but here in Tampa, Florida, today is Veteran’s day! Parades of honor, celebrations galore and glad tidings have been going on recently to celebrate Veteran’s day all around the world for those who served our country in some way in the armed services. Veteran’s day is recognized as a Federal holiday and most banks are closed, there is no mail, and lots of people are off work. It may seem like just another day to you if you didn’t serve in the armed services, but to those who served our country, it is a highly anticipated day of honor that they look forward to each and every year that they are alive. But what about a holiday for you? What about honoring you? Have you ever wondered why there is no celebration or no holiday for Christians that serve in the Army of life for our living God? Have you ever wondered why there is no celebration or holiday for those who simply survive the twists and turns of living in a sin filled world full of unfair practices, injustice and forks and knives in the road that are placed there to trip you up and thwart your destiny?

We’ve thought about this and feel that in a way, we are all Veterans, we’ve all served someone, some where and in some way, so today along with honoring the veterans who served our country, we’d like to take this opportunity to honor you for staying the course with God, for not giving up, for taking the high road and choosing to move forward, look forward and cling on to every ounce of faith that you can muster up to stay in the game of life with God daring to believe that although your situations and circumstances may appear to be hopeless, helpless, and beyond repair, one touch from God, one ounce of favor from God and one right hook up from God can turn the tables at any given moment in your favor and give you the life that you deserve and have been thinking of and dreaming of.

So today we want to challenge you to continue to take the high road, enjoy Veteran’s day and give honor where honor is due and that is to those that served in the armed services, but today, we want you to take a bold leap of faith and keep on pressing in to God, keep on seeking God, celebrate the life that God has given you, and celebrate and honor yourself, for you too have served in some way and in some capacity and for that you deserve honor, recognition and rest too. Stay strong and keep the faith, for the race is not won by the swift but to the ones who endure to the end. You may be counting on God to make it but God is counting on you to stay the course that He has you on and make it! If you will do your part to make it, you’ll see that God will do His part to help you make it-Happy Veteran’s Day
