Has God allowed trouble in your life?
Does it surprise you that trouble is a part of your life? Probably not. You’ve probably figured out that it seems to always be something and oftentimes it seems like you haven’t finish going through one thing before you have to go through something else. It can often seem like you are going through way too much trouble at one time. We all know trouble whether we like it or not, trouble shows up. Trouble rears its ugly head as —bad health, empty bank accounts, blighted love, grief, loss of jobs, failures, and the list goes on and on and on. Can you relate to that? Has God allowed trouble in your life?
It shouldn’t surprise you either that God allows the added trials of being ridiculed and hated because we follow Christ -1 Peter 4:12, along with the trouble that you experience in life. Trouble has a way of revealing to you who is really for you! When you’re in trouble, you find out who your friends and family members really are. When you are in trouble you find out who you really are and who God really is. Trouble, although it is very unwanted in mostly everyone’s life is not all bad. Sometimes it is your troubles that educate you, prepare you, promote you and reposition you. We have a suggestion for you because of some of the lessons that we’ve learned about trouble. Hopefully this knowledge will help save you in some way! Here’s what we suggest, instead of trying to run from your troubles, let them teach you what they are there to teach you, don’t resist the pathway of pain that God has allowed in your life, lest you get sifted out of that trial and put into another one because you didn’t finish your last trouble well. Be strong and steadfast and immovable in your trouble, and recognize that the trouble is not there to destroy you, it’s there to refine you, so let it accomplish it’s perfect work in you so that you can get out of your trial and move on to the higher pathway that God has for you! Learn the lessons that the trouble is there to teach you and then you won’t have to keep on repeating the same lesson of misery and suffering because you finished your course well.
Oliver Wendell Holmes said, “If I had a formula for bypassing trouble, I wouldn’t pass it around. I wouldn’t be doing anyone a favor. Trouble creates a capacity to handle it . . . . Meet it as a friend, for you’ll see a lot of it and you had better be on speaking terms with it, for it’s not going anywhere until the perfect work that God wants to do in you is done! ” So dear friends, do not be surprised by the fiery troubles that are taking place among you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. Your troubles and trials of suffering have come to test your faith in God. The testing of your faith develops perseverance, Perseverance must finish its work in your life so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything – James 1:3-4. Allow your trouble to drive you to God rather than away from Him, your troubles will reveal to you just how much you need God and His directions and His provisions for your life. Decide now to make a U-turn in your life and run to God and towards the new set times that He has coming for you at just the right time! That’s what we’re going to do, and we encourage you to do the same!
