Do you ever wonder what is the point of praying? Have you ever thought that just maybe things were going to get better for you when all of a sudden you have to deal with something or someone that sets you back? Have you ever thought that just maybe things were going to get better for you when all of a sudden you had to deal with something or someone that set you back? Have you ever wanted one thing but got something else and it was not what you wanted? Have you ever been passed over for  something you know you should have received and someone else got it who didn’t deserve it? We have. We  all have had some or all of these things happen to us and we too wondered what was going on.

If any of these things have happened to you, it can make you wonder if the “stars” or the “cosmos” or if someone or something was somewhere conspiring against you to derail your plans or if something or someone was playing evil tricks on you! If any of this has ever happened to you, you might have come to the point of saying to yourself  Why even bother to pray if things never really turnaround!  If this has ever happened to you, you might have come to the point of saying to yourself  Why even bother to pray? You might feel pain and then feel very tired of having to go through the same old thing day in and day out. You may even ask yourself the same questions over and over again, why bother to pray? What good will it bring? will God really help?  You may even wonder, Does the Lord know about me and if He knows about me does He really care? And if He cares why haven’t things changed or gotten any better?

If any of that describes you and you feel that you are praying and not getting any answers from God, it can be discouraging. It can also be tiring and discouraging If the turnaround or open doors that you had hoped for are non existent. It is normal to wonder if God really cares about you or if God knows about you if you are down in a dump and feel like there is no way out or no way up. But we’d like to suggest to you that sometimes the turnarounds that you want from God or the open doors that you want from God manifest differently from what you might want or expect from God. As God’s creation, we don’t get to choose how, when,  and in what way God will give us a turnaround or open doors. If God sends His word and informs you that He plans to give you a turnaround or if He promises to “open new doors” for you,  it is His responsibility to generate the timing, the conditions and the fulfillment of His promises to you. When you walk with, trust in and beleive in God’s promises to you, You have the easy part and that easy part is simply to  receive, claim and beleive in the promises of God and then wait patiently for Him in order to be eligible to receive His promises.

God’s promises take time to be performed and fulfilled. A promise made to you today, could take a day, a week, a month or even years for God to fulfill in your life. Consider Abraham, God made Him a promise that He would be a father, yet God made Him wait until He was 100 years old to fulfill His promise to Him (See Gensis 21:5), so if Abraham had to wait unti He was 100 years old, consider yourself lucky that your wait time has been nothing compared to that of Abraham! God is working 24/7 to make things better for you and though He may tarry with the answers you seeks, the turnaround that you seek, or the open doors you seek, He is working and He is coming.

God has already given you a turnaround in several areas of your life, perhaps they are disguised and you have yet to recognize them. God has already opened many doors for you, perhaps they are not the doors that you had wanted open. God has already given you His best gift, He sent Jesus to be your personal Lord and Savior. To fully recognize and appreciate the turnarounds and the open doors that God gives you, we’d like to invite you to join us in a simple prayer to ask God to open your eyes more clearly to the turnarounds and the open doors that He has placed in your life that are specifically from Him. We’d like to invite you to ask God to fill you with the courage and the perservance that you will need to go forward and claim the turnarounds and the open doors that God has for you. No matter how down and out you are or how down and out you have been your present circumstances are no true indicator of God’s willingness or ability to deliver you, for at any moment God can  change things if He chooses to flip the script and change things in your favor. In order to see that happen, you will need patience and faith!

Dear God,

Thank you for your promises to turn things around in my life and to open new doors for me! I want and need to be able to see your turnarounds and open doors in my life more clearly. Help me, Father, I pray to be able to see and recognize when what presents itself to me is really from you. Bless me and WIN International Ministries with the ability to be able to recognize your workings in our lives more clearly. Bless me and WIN International Ministries with your favor, your turnarounds, and your open doors! Reveal to me the open doors that you have prepared specifically for me! Confirm the turnarounds that you have orchestrated in my life so that I may give you thanks in the sanctuary and utter praise to you in the highest. Forgive me for my sins, my shortcomings and my transgressions and allow Jesus Christ to come into my life to become my personal Lord and Savior I ask and pray – Amen
