Tired? Can God Refresh You?

Peace is something everyone wants, but so few enjoy. Many are troubled, confused and worried over various things happening in their lives and in the world. Catastrophes and sorrows are all around us and no family is exempt from adversity of some kind, it is really awful. Watch the news on television and troubles prevail everywhere. But regardless of what is going on, we can have and enjoy peace, comfort and tranquility through it all, because our God and Creator has provided rest for our souls. Some may find this difficult to believe. They may have assumed that there is no way a person can live a life free of worry and misery. But all things are possible if we believe God’s word the Bible,  and practice His principles for living. First of all, it must be understood that peace does not necessarily mean, the absence of troubles and trials. Rather it means, freedom from stress and fretting, regardless of what you may be experiencing.Areyouunhappy

So, when when we speak of peace, we can enjoy rest even if the storm is all around us. We can have tranquility and keep our sanity in the midst of an insane world. God will show you how to handle life’s situations and circumstances through His Word, (the Bible) Here is a verse of Scripture which will give you rest: 1 Peter 5:7 states “Cast all your cares upon Him, for He careth for you. “What a beautiful passage from the Bible. What God is saying in this verse is, instead of worrying and being overly concerned about your troubles and problems, He is saying  give Him your cares. Here is the same passage from The Amplified Bible”1 Peter 5:7 “Cast the whole of your care, all your worries, all your concerns, all your anxieties, once and for all on Him; for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. “Some may say, I will give God some of my problems. But notice that God is inviting you to cast all of your worries, concerns and anxieties on Him. Give them all to God, and let Him deal with them however He sees fit to deal with them. He will fix them all in His own way, and in His own time.

2894029101_03d45ffed9God does not want you fretting over anything. He loves you way too much and He desires to help you with your situations and circumstances. So, He says to your heart and ours, “Give me your problems. Permit Me to show you what to do about that child, or about your finances, or about that situation on your job, in your business or in your ministry. God is asking you to Permit Him to help you in such a way that you will know that it is Him, guiding you. Will You give Him that Permission?  God is inviting you to surrender those things and those people that trouble you to Him  so that He can begin to work in those areas and so He can release you to the peace that only He can give you. Here is another passage for your consideration and meditation: Philippians 4:6 “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication and with thanksgiving  let your requests be made known unto God.”The Amplified Bible translates the words, “Be careful for nothing”, like this: “Do not fret or have anxiety about anything…” -This means that God does not want you to have anxiety attacks. He does not desire for you to live full of fear and dread.

He wants you to have and enjoy life- John 10:10. You cannot enjoy life worrying, fretting and being overly-anxious.  So, God says to you, “Instead of fretting and being full of care, talk it over with  Me and let Me handle what you  cannot handle, Let me do what you cannot do. “Let’s look at that particular verse of Scripture again. God tells us not to fret or have any anxiety. This means that we can live worry free. We just need to trust God.  We do not have to smoke another cigarette to calm our nerves, or take another pill to calm our nerves or drink alcohol to dull or numb our pain; we just need to trust God. We do not have to take all kinds of medication to be able to sleep. All we need to do is cast our cares on God and let Him do what we cannot do. Because this is what God wants, we are encouraging you to give your cares to God, let Him refresh you.  There is a great difference between your cares and your responsibilities. Responsibilities are things which you have control over and can do for yourself. Cares are situations you cannot control and need help to handle. God wants to help you with your problems and cares.  So give them to Him and lean back on Him, resting, knowing He has them all and He will work them out for you or show you how to deal with them. So Rest, Rest, Rest., dear child of God  and trust that almighty God will give you the peace that you may lack as you surrender your cares in His powerful hands what you cannot control, cannot change and find hard to deal with.
